Frequently Asked Questions

When will you be offering Face to Face classes again?

We are keen to start teaching Face to Face classes as soon as possible, but unfortunately until the Government guidelines clearly state that community exercise classes can reconvene and our venues have put appropriate measures in place to support any remaining social distancing requirements, we cannot even begin to prepare for these. It will not be possible to conduct any Face to Face classes until the current Government restrictions are lifted and I can be sure of keeping our classes safe. We will of course provide updates as the situation develops.

I have never exercised before, can I take part in your classes?

Absolutely! Lorna Scott has a wealth of experience and can cater all classes for the beginner, as well as the seasoned exerciser. However, it may be appropriate for you to be assessed by a medical expert (e.g. your GP/Doctor) who can give you consent to partake in physical activity.

What is the difference between Pilates and Fitness Pilates?

Fitness Pilates is more of a functional approach to the traditional Pilates class. It still applies the main principles of Pilates but it also involves more functional movement for everyday life. Fitness Pilates will improve overall body strength with the main emphasis on your back and core muscles. For more information visit our Fitness Pilates page.

What is an aerobics class?

An aerobics class consists of choreographed exercises to music. Classes last 30 minutes and offer a total-body workout that can help develop stamina, endurance, and mobility. For more information go to our Fat Burning page.

What do you do with my personal details?

We use your information to help us provide and improve our services for you. We may use your information to provide you with any services that you have purchased, to check your identity or to update our records with any new information you give us.

I only want to access the OnDemand videos, can I buy these separately?

The OnDemand videos are designed to be a supplement to other classes and unfortunately cannot be purchased separately.
