2nd November 2020: New Seated Exercise Class

Like the rest of the UK, we are really disappointed that we find ourselves heading back into another national lockdown. This year has been challenging for everyone in different ways, but a number of members of our "pre-pandemic" seated exercise classes have been in contact to share their experiences of 2020; we have been told of the increased isolation and reduced physical mobility experienced as a result of all the various lockdown and social distancing measures. So we have made the decision to try and do more to support our wider community.

We are therefore launching a new live streamed "Zoom" Seated Pilates Exercise class and would invite everyone to a FREE trial session at 11.30am on Monday 9th November ("virtual" doors open at 11.15am). This is open to existing and new members! Contact us for more information, details and instructions.

23rd October 2020: Potters Bar Radio Wants to Hear from Us!

We are delighted to have been invited to take part in Potters Bar Radio's show "Sounds from our Community" in November 2020! This weekly radio programme is a combination of member contributions and music dedications from local groups and clubs.

It would be great if as many of us can take part as possible and support this new local radio, as a means of reaching out to our local community, during such challenging and isolating times.

It can be a real boost for us to stay in contact and enjoy regular chats before our classes, knowing that we are all there for each other in this community we have created is hugely valuable.

17th July 2020: Check Out Our New Autumn Timetable

There have been 4 months since we had to stop our face to face classes and after nearly 3 months of Zooming, we seem to be getting through this challenging time together!

The new autumn timetable will be in place from 31st August and it has been developed taking all of the recent questionnaire responses into account and we hope that every member will find classes that they can attend. All the classes will be via Zoom initially, but this will be reviewed when we are in a position to resume face to face classes safely.

15th July 2020: Zoom Classes Take Over!

Following feedback from members, suggesting that the Daily Tasks are no longer needed as they are now taking part in Zoom classes, we will plan to cease sending these out at the current time. The final Daily Task will be sent this Friday (17 July).

It is fantastic that so many of our members are now taking advantage of the unlimited classes in the monthly subscription and enjoying multiple classes each week! It does feel like the end of a chapter, as the Daily Tasks were introduced at the very beginning of "lockdown", but it is exciting to see what our new chapter will bring.

14th July 2020: Our New Audio System Will be Going Live Tonight!

Thank you to those members who took part in a full audio test this morning! We are excited to be trialling the new system at this evening's Fitness Pilates class.

As ever, any feedback is always welcome!

4th July 2020: Thank You for Completing the Questionnaire - The Results Are In!

Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to complete the online questionnaire - the information that it provides will help us plan for future classes.

We have now been through all the responses and there are some really interesting results, one of them being that nearly 85% of those who responded have requested that live streamed classes via Zoom stay on our timetable.

18th June 2020: We Need Your Opinions!

Members are what Lorna Scott Fitness is all about and as we look to the future we are starting to plan for September's timetable. There are still so many unknowns, but we have prepared an online questionnaire to help us plan!

Please be completely honest and feel free to complete it anonymously, if you prefer!

Some of our members have asked if friends can join our classes - they are very welcome, but I will need to ask them to complete a quick Screening Form which they can access via the website, or contact Lorna directly!

Our Zoom timetable will remain the same this week; THERE WILL STILL BE A CLASS ON BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY @ 10AM!
